Sun Microsystems has wrapped up its $1 billion acquisition of open-source database company MySQL in a speedy six weeks, thanks, according to Sun CEO Jonathan Schwartz, to the "enthusiasm" on both sides. "MySQL was clearly the crown jewel of the open-source marketplace," said Schwartz.
