Please join us at Wallenberg Hall, Stanford, on the evening of April 2, 2008, for a program
entitled “Financing Global Expansion: Helping Nordic VC-Backed Companies Expand”
Over the years, we have seen many companies expand out of the Nordic region into global markets, with successful exits. Skype and mySQL are but two recent examples. Silicon Vikings in cooperation with the Swedish Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, has organized a panel discussion focusing on the many challenges faced by a Nordic VC-backed technology company expanding into global markets, and more particularly into Silicon Valley. A distinguished panel of U.S. and Nordic venture capitalists, together with local Silicon Valley financiers and entrepreneurs, will discuss this very important subject.
Our distinguished panelists include:
• Michel Wendell, Nexit Ventures (Helsinki, Stockholm, Saratoga)
• Linus Lundberg, Vision Capital (Geneva and Burlingame)
• Terrance Phillips, Senior Vice President, Silicon Valley Bank (Palo Alto)
• Eero Teerikorpi, CEO, Continuent, and Founding Partner, Blue White Venture (San Jose)
• Tom Berggren, Managing Director, Swedish Venture Capital Association (Stockholm)
• Krista Rantasaari, Secretary General, Finnish Venture Capital Association (Helsinki)
• Daniel Blomquist, Associate, Creandum Advisor AB (Stockholm)
• Moderator: Richard Allan Horning, Principal, Fish & Richardson P.C. (Redwood City)
The panel discussion will be preceded by a reception. Wine (courtesy of Silicon Valley Bank), soft drinks will be on offer. The evening begins promptly at 6:00, and should be over by 8:00. Registration at the door $25.00. You may register in advance see below.
This event will be a fundraiser for Silicon Vikings generously supported by Silicon Valley Bank, Fish & Richardson P.C. and the Swedish Private Equity & Venture Capital Association. The visit of the representatives of the Nordic venture capital community is organized by the Swedish Private Equity & Venture Capital Association with the support of Interim Ventures.
