Swedish Engineering Graduates seeking internships in the US
News body
The Chalmers Engineering Trainee Appointment Committee of 2008 (CETAC 2008) consists of about 15 third and fourth year students at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, who are seeking internships in the United States starting this summer. By that time, all of them will at least have acquired a bachelor’s degree of Science in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Since 1968 thousands of students have received valuable international experience through trainee jobs in the United States facilitated by this program. Companies that have had trainees from CETAC include among many others: NASA, Cornell University, VM-Ware, Microsoft, Intel, and Daimler.
All arrangements such as visas, travel expenses, etc are taken care of by the students. Apart from a modest salary to cover living expenses, providing an internship for one of them will cost Your company nothing. In return You will receive a skilled employee, a future business link and, most of all, an increased international understanding.
If You want to find out more about CETAC You can visit http://www.cetac.se where a presentation in English is available.
This internship program is made possible by the cooperation with the American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) and their Exchange Visitor Program. They will provide us with visa sponsorship and are also our contact in the United States. The ASF asks the U.S. firm to pay a service fee of $100 per month; the minimum fee is $400 for programs of up to four months. You can read more about the ASF at http://www.amscan.org.
