This position requires a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field and thesis research in computer security including a strong publication record in leading conferences/journals. The person hired will be responsible for conceiving, designing and carrying out a research agenda in security/cryptography. We are particularly interested in candidates with the skill set to contribute to existing projects and research areas within PARC, in particular, ubiquitous computing and ad hoc networking, and those with an interest in demonstrating their ideas in the form of research prototype systems. Opportunities exist to lead research projects that involve the transition of technology from the lab into the commercial world through collaboration with PARC's partners.
