Nimsoft Raises $12 Million in Second Round

Nimsoft, a Redwood City-based developer of systems management software, said that it has raised $12 million in its second round of funding, led by Goldman Sachs. Previous investors JMI Equity and Northzone Ventures also participated. Nimbus Software was founded in Oslo, Norway in 1998. In 2004, the company merged with its U.S. distributor, changed its name to Nimsoft, and established its headquarters in Silicon Valley. It now has about 700 customers in 30 countries, who use the company's products to monitor their IT based business applications and services. Clients include Barclays Capital, Amway, Bay Area Rapid Transit and TRW Automotive.
