"Finnish Entrepreneurs on 'Local, Global or Globally Local - Economic Challenges in Building a Global Company'", hosted by Stanford University’s School of Engineering. The second session features a panel of highly respected Finnish startup CEOs and founders who address the following questions: Do today's startups need to be local, global, or "globally local"? How can a new venture combine the magic of great engineering skills (mobile, open source) in Finland/Scandinavia/Europe and the magic of Silicon Valley (market opportunities, VCs, partners, ecosystem) to become successful? The session will also present short introductions by two of Stanford’s four European Government Partners (Innovation Norway and FinNode) to their respective country innovation and entrepreneurship sectors. This event is the second session of Stanford’s program on European Entrepreneurship and Innovation Thought Leaders. Location: Skilling Auditorium, Stanford Campus. Open to the public at no charge.
