Andrus Viirg

Andrus combines investment promotion knowledge with an extensive network of venture capital and angel investors in US and Europe. His focus is on `connecting people` working as the Chief Networking Officer at Nobe Cars, USA (a mobility tech company). During 2007-2020, Andrus was Enterprise Estonia representative in Silicon Valley – a `tech embassy` supporting Estonian companies to raise venture funding and go global through Silicon Valley as well as promoting Estonia as a place to do business and access the whole European market and was one of the founders of Estonia's flagship tech and innovation conference Latitude59. In the 1990s, Andrus was with international financial institutions, heading the World Bank Group (IBRD, IFC) Office in Tallinn, Estonia (1995-2001) supervising a number of large scale public infrastructure - and private investment projects in manufacturing; and as an Assistant to the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC (1992-1994) compiling notes on various macro-economic issues.

Andrus has a Master's degree in automation and software engineering from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and an additional diploma in foreign trade relations from the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
